[Excerpt 1]
Perhaps one of you may ask why the Spiritual World gives to you a description of the life of the people of Atlantis. I answer to you: so that you can compare their life with yours and avoid their mistakes, in order for you to gain the Truth of Heaven.
I propose, my dear readers, to give you some brief glimpses of the country and of the life of Atlantis. These will bear no relation to each other- that is, they will be selections from the ancient and from the more recent existence of its inhabitants, even though at the time of its earliest progress I had not yet been born. Present-day humanity knows nothing about Atlantis; everything that has been written about it is imaginative fiction designed to mislead one’s fellow men. A few things have been reported by perfidious spirits seeking to ensnare men’s imagination and to lead them into the darkness of their earthly progress.
